Great collection of little books for big readers !Children and adults will love to meet these amazing determined women !Texts and illustrations are fantastic !You can even find a short biography and some additional reading suggestions at the end of each book.

I was curious how they would go about explaining Amelia's disappearance, they executed it perfectly. It doesn't skip over it, but is very vague about what could have happened to her (it is a mystery, after all!) and my 3 year old didn't even have any questions about it. I'm sure as she gets older she'll be more curious, of course! These books never fail us!

I purchased the board book edition for my one year old daughter who loves to read. I was so surprised to find that the ending of this book was so morbid given how positive the other reviews are. I know the story of Amelia Earhart did not end well, but I imagined it might be handled a little ore delicately (as this series does with Marie Curie, for example). Instead the book glorifies her final flight for multiple pages and then states that she “flew further than anyone had gone before... never to return.” The asserted lesson on the last pages is “If you want to do something, do it. You never know how far you could get!” But pursuing a dream and paying the ultimate price seems a little heavy for this age group. I wish that Amelia’s demise had been left out and that her sense of adventure and accomplishments had simply been celebrated. The first 16 pages do just that and the illustrations are wonderful but it simply isn’t enough to offset the morbidity of the ending. Parent beware.

Purchased this darling book for our soon to be 3 year old granddaughter's birthday. She is fascinated with airplanes, airports, etc. This book is a wonderful introduction biography for this young age group and the ending was handled beautifully! The illustrations are also well done.

My 19 month old has only had this book a few months so I can’t speak to it standing the test of long-term time, but since we got it she has requested to read it multiple times a day. She is super into airplanes right now and loves this book! I love that it is introducing her to the story of Amelia Earhart in a really simple way with beautiful illustrations.

Such an adorable book. Bought it for a baby shower, baby will be named Amelia. The book is cute colors and bright pictures, the story was easy to read yet very positive! I want to keep buying all the other books as the baby hits holidays and birthdays!
